Sunday's Adventure Kids was full of giggles, And that was mostly from the adults!! Oh what fun we all had in the woods. It all started with some stretching exercises before we headed onto the trails. There were some funny stretches coming from some people and some found them not so easy but everyone tried very hard, Then we all worked on balancing on one foot and then the other foot, shaking our legs around and trying not to fall over. Then JuJu showed everyone how to do squats
But it wasn’t too hard till then we had to do it without hands…not so easy! From squats we did some hip pumps, working on our hip flexibility, And then we did some hip shaking and moving - it looked like everyone was doing a funny dance 😅
Still on warm ups, the kids ran up & down the little bike jumps in the woods, They were supposed to take it easy but some were so speedy, they were all blurred on the camera!! The Mums and Dads got to join the fun & they showed us how it was done!!!! they certainly were not so speedy!
On we went up to the fire road for some blueberry picking before the relay races. The relay races were super speedy today and it was a draw each time, even with a Dad on one of the teams. The kids were very competitive and siblings even more so! Everyone raced their hearts out, well done to all today.
On our way to the bike trails we stopped off to do some frog jumps with the addition of a press up on the way up the hill, JuJu made this look very easy but it took everyone a little while to figure out how to do it! Not so easy, huh! Once they did, there was no stopping them and the parents even got a little competitive.
We ran up the trails and had a go at jumping over or going under the barrier. The kids all loved this and scaled over that barrier with gusto. Some of the Mums did a little cheat and got caught and had to do it again and did a great job then....no one gets away with anything on a JuJu Session! Once we hit the bike trails JuJu showed everyone how to push up a hill with speed , Small steeps, tap, tap, tap. And it was a bit of a surprise to see how strong all the kids were getting up the hill. The parents followed after and they ran up really well, Soon after this we played cat and mouse and they were really fast games. Each game was speedy running through the forest jumping over obstacles looking out for roots and rocks all the time. Then it was the parents turn to be the mice and the kids loved that, chasing after their parents. They were all caught eventually!
Balance work was next and again, it looked easier than it was. It was lots of fun getting from one side to the other on the logs set up and doing some high kicks or yoga moves along the way. Some Dad’s looked like ballerinas!
And after all that, we ran free all the way down to the river for a very funny, lots of giggling, RIVER DIP. All the kids ran and dipped in fully straight away ( their starting to love the rivers) Some of the adults were trying to stay dry and well, that ended badly for them – everyone got splashed and some fell in!! It was such a great session, we loved it and hope you did too!
